The Mahalakshmi Khola-Matatirth road connecting Makwanpur and Kathmandu will be closed from today till the 7th of January. Devkrishna Pudasaini, chairman of the rural municipality, informed that the traffic service is going to be stopped on the road for the cutting of water near the Mahalakshmi river located in Indrasarovar rural municipality-5 of Makwanpur under the said road.
He said that the Infrastructure Development Office is going to stop traffic operations on the road during the upgrading of the road section towards Makwanpur. He said that the said road will be closed until next January 7th.
Similarly, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office Shyamu Aryal said that only one-way traffic is being operated on the Kulekhani-Fakhel road section connecting Makwanpur-Kathmadu and the Kulekhani-Sisneri-Dakshinkali road section.
According to him, vehicles going from Hetauda to Kathmandu are operating from Cisneri and vehicles coming from Katmadau to Hetauda are operating from Fakhel. Both road sections are currently being upgraded.
