The Bagmati state government is going to construct a state-of-the-art 'check post' at its border entry points. In the first phase, a 'check post' will be constructed at Ratomate on the East-West Highway, the main entry point that connects the border with Madhes Province.
Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Surajchandra Lamichhane, Secretary of the Ministry Purna Bahadur Darzi, security chiefs monitored the 'checkpost' construction site at Ratomate located in Hetauda-14 on Friday.
Chief Minister Lama informed that a 'check post' will be constructed in coordination with the local level. Purna Bahadur Darji, Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, informed that the Ratomate checkpoint is more sensitive because it is the entry point of the East-West Highway.
In the second phase, it is said that 'checkposts' will be constructed at Muglin in Chitwan, Nagthan in Sindhuli, Rasuwagadhi in Rasuwa, Kodari in Sindhupalchok and Lamabagar in Dolakha in the third phase. The provincial government is planning to deploy CCTV cameras and security personnel with state-of-the-art machines for checking vehicles at the 'checkposts'.
'We are going to build a 'check post' at the entry point of Bagmati province. We expect that the internal security situation will be strengthened from this," Chief Minister Lama said.
