The Wagmati state government has started construction of state-of-the-art checkposts on its borders. In the first phase, the construction of a check post is going to be started at the main entry point with the border with Madhesh province.
On Friday, Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama inspected the checkpost construction site at Ratomate located in Hetaunda-15. He coordinated with the local level and monitored the checkpost construction site. The state government is going to construct a check post along with Ratomate in the first phase at Bhiman in Sindhuli district.
In the second phase at Narayangadh Muglin in Chitwan, in the third phase Checkposts are going to be constructed at Nagthan in Sindhuli, Rasuwagadhi in Rasuwa, Kodari in Sindhupalchok and Lamabagar in Dolakha. The government is planning to deploy CC cameras and security personnel with state-of-the-art machines for checking vehicles at check posts.
We are going to build a check post at the entry point of Wagmati province. We expect that the internal security situation will be strengthened from this," Chief Minister Lama said. He said that the check post will be built in coordination with the local level. He said that the provincial government will not enter the international border.
Home Affairs and Law Minister Surajchandra Lamichhane claimed that the check post will be state-of-the-art. "After checking at the entry point of our province, we will manage internally so that there will be no problem at other places," he said.
