The Wagmati state government has prepared to appoint the Chief Executive Director of the State Technical and Vocational Education and Training Council (CTEVT). The state government has also recommended candidates for the post of Chief Executive Officer through open competition.
The Ministry of Social Development of the province has invited applications and recommended 3 candidates for the appointment after completing the examination and interview. The Chief Executive Director Selection and Recommendation Committee chaired by Ministry Secretary Badrinath Gayre has recommended the names of 3 candidates for the position of Chief Executive Director. According to the recommendations of the
committee, the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Council has said that preparations are being made to appoint the chief executive at the next cabinet meeting of the provincial government. The recommendation committee shortlisted the names of 5 people out of 7 applications for the said post. 5 shortlisted candidates The interview was conducted on 1st of January. According to the results of the interview, 3 names have been recommended for the post of Chief Executive Director.
The recommendation committee has recommended Badri Prasad Dahal of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-9 as number one, Shanti Lama of Myagung-4 Nuwakot as second and Ishwar Chandra Poudyal of Bharatpur-10 Chitwan as third. It is understood that Dahal and Lama are close to the Nepali Congress while Poudyal is close to the Maoist center.
