The integration process of Bhutandevi, established as the best school in Makwanpur district, and the modern National Higher Secondary School has been carried forward. Both the schools, which have been making significant contributions in the educational field for a long time, are going to be merged to develop them as a mega school.
With the aim of developing Hetaunda as an educational hub, the decision of the two school management committees, the recommendation of the ward office, the ward president, the chairman of both school management committees and the principal, submitted the necessary letter to Hetaunda city chief Meenakumari Lama and asked him to proceed with the process.
Hetaunda is developing as an educational hub recently. Now the merger process is going forward with the aim of building physical infrastructure and making 10,000 students study with facilities,'' said Navin Sigdel, chairman of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan ward number-4. Currently, about 5 thousand students study in both schools. At present, the number of students who want to enroll in both schools annually is around ten thousand. Students are admitted to the school through the annual internal examination.
President Sigdel said that the number of students coming to Hetounda from Terai districts including Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Sarlahi is increasing every year. According to him, after merging the two schools, the means and resources of Bhutandevi High School will be fully utilized and the necessary resources for the modern school will be easily fulfilled.
'Hetaunda sub-municipality now needs to create a working group and procedures from the executive meeting of the sub-municipality in order to build physical infrastructure and protect the history of both schools. After the study report of that task force, the federal and state governments should also invest in this school," he said. Ward President Sigdel believes that after the merger of both schools, sports ground, science lab, library and other physical infrastructure will be built.
