Eight people were injured in a bus accident at Galchi in Dhading under Prithvi Highway. The bus went out of control and hit the divider on the side of the road.

Subas Hamal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dhading informed that the bus No. LU2K 6676 coming from Butwal to Kathmandu had an accident at Sutkeri Dhunga, Galchi Rural Municipality-6, Dhading. According to him, 40-year-old Gopal Sunar of Shivraj Municipality-3 of Kapilvastu, 39-year-old Asmita Ale, 54-year-old Janak Gautam of Barganga Municipality-3, 42-year-old Chitra Bahadur Pandey of Gurbhakot Municipality-1 of Surkhet, 31-year-old Sukram of Banepa Municipality-7 of Kavre were killed in the accident. Karki, 58-year-old Vijay Karki, 56-year-old Nandlal Adhikari of Adhikhola rural municipality-1 in Syangja and son-in-law of Ramechhap 42-year-old Rajkumar Das of rural municipality-1 was injured.

All the eight people who were injured in the accident have been referred to B&B Hospital in Kathmandu for further treatment after first treatment at Baireni Hospital. Deputy Superintendent of Police Hamal informed that the bus driver, Bhupendra Chapagai, 30, of Saina Maina Municipality-9, Rupandehi, was arrested.
