A pedestrian died after being hit by a tipper in Valchebensi located in Kispang Rural Municipality-1 here on Wednesday.
District Police Office Deputy Superintendent of Police Tilak Bharti informed that Tasi Ghale, a resident of Kispang-4 Salme, died due to the collision of a tipper. According to him, 48-year-old Ghale died on the spot after being hit by a tipper carrying construction materials for road upgrading.
The locals have damaged the tipper No. 3-01-003 A 7187 of Wagmati Pradesh which collided. The police said that the driver fled after the incident and is being searched for. Regarding the
incident, the locals had obstructed the collection of the dead body by pressuring them to arrest the guilty driver and provide proper compensation to the victim's family. According to the demand of the victim, after agreeing to proceed according to law for action and compensation, the body has been sent to Trishuli Hospital for post-mortem at 8 pm.
