Seven workers have been injured when the descender cover slab of the under-construction Bhotekoshi-1 hydropower project collapsed. According to the district police office, the accident occurred due to the collapse of the upper structure of the descender cover slab of the hydropower project, which was started a year ago.
The condition of the two trapped in the lower part of the slope structure is yet to be revealed. According to Police Inspector Devendraraj Joshi of Bahrbise area police, the seven injured were immediately rescued and brought to Keystone Hospital and Bahrbise Nagar Hospital for treatment.
Some have been referred to Dhulikhel, while security personnel have been sent to the lower part to rescue two workers trapped at the bottom of the slope. "Some of the injured in the project are in serious condition, while we are trying to rescue the two who were crushed in the lower part, one has already been rescued," said police inspector Joshi.

Bhotekoshi-1 project got permission after a long time to use about 4.25 hectares of land in Bhotekoshi Village 1, 3, 4 and 5 Ward, which is bordering China. The project is going to be built by Electro Power Company Limited at a cost of about 8 billion .
Workmen were working on the top cover slab to protect the descender structure of the project on Friday . When the slab suddenly started collapsing, the worker who was sitting down was crushed.
