All the five thematic committees under the Bagmati Provincial Assembly have been leaderless for a long time. As the chairman of the committee could not be elected, the work of those committees which are considered important has been affected.
Under the Bagmati Provincial Assembly, there are State Affairs Committee, Finance and Development Committee, Public Accounts Committee, Education, Health and Agriculture Committee and Industry, Tourism and Environment Committee. Chairman has not been elected in all those committees.
When the chairman is elected in the committee, the employee says that there is a problem in working. The all-party meeting of the parties represented in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly held last Friday decided to proceed with the process of selecting the chairman of all the five committees under the Provincial Assembly. Speaker Bhuvan Kumar Pathak said that the meeting decided to proceed with the process so that the chairpersons of the committee can be selected by the next 4th of June. Speaker Pathak says that the same meeting decided to submit a proposal to the provincial government to convene a meeting on 31st Baisakh for the budget session of the provincial assembly.
On the recommendation of the state government, the state chief Yadav Chandra Sharma ended the thirteenth session of the state assembly on the 12th of Baisakh after 12 midnight. There are 110 members of the Bagmati State Assembly.
