Preparations for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) starting from Chaitra 19 in Dhankuta have reached the final stage. This year, a total of 2,636 students from the district will participate in the examination.
According to the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Dhankuta, students from the regular general stream, general grade enhancement, regular technical and technical grade enhancement will participate in the examination. Of these, 2,085 are from the regular general stream, while 445 are participating in the general stream grade enhancement examination. Similarly, 144 students are from the regular technical stream, while only two will participate in the technical grade enhancement examination.
Last year, 2,536 students from Dhankuta participated in the SEE. Although the number of participants has increased this year, the participation in the regular stream is gradually decreasing, according to the unit.
11 centers have been designated in the district to conduct the examination. Punya Secondary School Rajarani and Rural Janata Secondary School Namje of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality, Thakurdevi Secondary School Aankhisalla of Sahidbhumi Rural Municipality, Jalpadevi Secondary School of Pakhribas Municipality, Saraswati Secondary School Sidhuwa of Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality and Janata Secondary School Jitpur and Saraswati Secondary School Chanuwa of Mahalaxmi Municipality have been designated as the examination centers.
Similarly, within Dhankuta Municipality, the examination will also be conducted at Hile Secondary School, Bhasha Secondary School Kagate, Gokundeshwar Secondary School Siranbazar and Triveni Secondary School in Chuliban. Among the 11 examination centers in Dhankuta, the maximum number of 308 students is participating in the examination at Thakurdevi Secondary School. Similarly, Saraswati Secondary School Chanuwa has the lowest number of 99 students. The lowest number of students in the regular category is 6 from Damodar Secondary School in Chhathar Jorpati 3. In terms of schools, 101 students from Gokundeshwar Balmandir Secondary School will participate.
Studies are being conducted from grades 9 to 12 under the technical stream in six local levels of Dhankuta. Animal Science is being taught at Janata Secondary School, Jitpur, Mahalaxmi Municipality, Agriculture at Chulachuli Secondary School, Chhathar Jorpati, Civil Engineering at Sharda Secondary School, Chaubise, Electrical Engineering at Bhanu Secondary School, Danda Bazar, Sangurigadhi, Agricultural Science at Panchakrishna Secondary School, Khoku, Sahidbhumi, and Computer Science at Triveni Secondary School, Dhankuta Municipality.
According to Unit Chief Indira Khadka Budhathoki, the answer sheets required for the examination have been delivered to the concerned centers. She said that the question papers have been kept at the District Police Office.
