Anurag Pangeni, a 15-year-old student from Nepal, has won third place in the 2025 International Youth Competition for Anti-Corruption Social Advertising.
Nepal's Pangeni has come third in the 10-15 year old age group competition under the international competition titled 'Youth Repair the Cracks in Society'. Pangeni has secured third place in the international youth competition 'Together Against Corruption', the Russian Embassy has said. The embassy has also congratulated Pangeni.
Anurag's poster is one of the international entries for its powerful message and creative expression of promoting honesty, accountability and social responsibility among youth, the Russian Embassy said, calling it a meaningful contribution to the global fight against corruption and an inspiring example of youth leadership's social engagement.
Anurag said that the poster he created shows Nepali society as a fragile glass structure broken by corruption, and the firewood mixed with money symbolically represents greed and dishonesty, as well as how corruption threatens the opportunities of youth. But he said that the real message of his poster is about hope.
In the competition, 14-year-old Fatima Rawan from Algeria came first, and 14-year-old Sokhjakhon Ablulliev from Uzbekistan came second. Along with Pangeni, 14-year-old Sadiya Jafar from Pakistan also came third, according to the embassy.
