On the occasion of Nagarkot Visit Year, a 'painting workshop' has been organized at Changunarayan Temple, which is listed in the World Heritage List.
The workshop organized by the Nagarkot Tour Year Secretariat under Changunarayan Municipality was inaugurated today by Mayor Jeevan Khatri by handing over canvas and colors to the artists.
Mayor Khatri said that the municipality has organized a visit year to make Changunarayan, which is an old historical structure and religious heritage of Nepal, and its heritage to the world, to make it the first choice of tourists from the world. He emphasized that the tourism year should be successful in order to spread the art, religious heritage, historical heritage and countless tourist destinations of Changunarayan among the world community.
Mayor Khatri informed that the work of documenting and documenting has started to be carried forward to build the foundation of development to make Changunarayan Municipality prosperous. Appreciating Changunarayan as a beautiful garden for everyone, he expressed his belief that the conference will be successful in conveying the identity from history to the future in art and literature.
Mayor Khatri said, 'We have started the initiative to promote development in the society, improving the standard of living of the local people and bringing smiles to their faces with positive thinking. Today, we are putting literature on canvas and combining art and literature.'
Municipal Chief Administrative Officer Mohan Kumar Shrestha said that the painting workshop in the Changunarayan temple complex will spread the identity of this place to the world. He said that the Nagarkot Visit Year will bring the identity of all the tourist areas of Changunarayan to the world and expressed his belief that this year will be successful in bringing the neglected heritage to the common people and tourists. In the
program, Gobind Kattel, Member Secretary of Nagarkot Tourism Year Secretariat and Head of Tourism Branch, informed that 23 artists have painted the heritage within the Changunarayan municipality area on canvas. He said that the municipality will adopt the pictures of historical, religious and tourist areas made by artists and develop them as museums. In the
workshop, nationally and internationally renowned painters/artists have painted pictures of 23 famous religious and tourist heritages of Changunarayan city area on canvas.
