While studying in class three, Sushant Ghimire was encouraged by a teacher to perform on stage in a program organized on the occasion of Parents' Day. Sushant, who has not developed his ability in music, will sing in the program. He sang Raju Lama's song 'Timilai Nadeh...'.
Sushant, who gave his first performance with the teacher's encouragement, won the hearts of everyone in the school and the neighborhood. With that performance, Sushant started searching for other local programs from Deusibhailo. At that time, Sushant, the singer of the song 'Zindagi Sarar...', recognized his singing ability for the first time.
Sushant, who grew up in Biratnagar, used to sit in the bardli and sing Hindi songs for hours during loadshedding. Sitting in Bardali, he imagined that he was standing on a big stage and giving a performance. However, he felt that his dream of becoming a professional singer could not be fulfilled. It was difficult to even think about making music a profession. Telling my parents that I would become a singer would only have added burden to them. They didn't even have enough investment,' Ghimire said .
Although Sushant continued singing, he gave priority to studies. He thought of making singing a hobby and pursuing engineering. His college friends kept encouraging him to pursue music. Even after leaving the class, he used to enjoy Sushant's songs all day long. This inspired Sushant to compose his own songs. By the time
arrived in 2017, Ghimire had started singing 'cover songs' and performing in bars. He was also continuing music while working full-time. Working full-time in a Chinese construction company, he used to go to work at 8 in the morning. In the evening, as soon as he got free time, he would go to the bar with a guitar to perform.
At that time, he was spending his days running and busy. Ghimire remembers that "running was also fun". But working at a bar was not easy for him either. He lied at home to work at the bar. "Everyone in the village sleeps till 8 o'clock at night," said Sushant, who owns Chatra House in Sunsari, "so I always lied that I was in the room." A place where there is no sound, like I used to go to the toilet and call.'
But he was always tormented by the fear that the people of Chatara would say, 'This is bad, I am in bad company'. One day, Sushant was singing a Hindi song with his friends. At that time, Anup Sharma, the founder of 'Mantra Geetaar' asked Sushant if he had any songs after hearing his voice. Sushant sang the song 'Pari' to Sharma. Sharma was very impressed after hearing this song. On the same day, he decided to support Ghimire through his Mantra Artist Fund.
Meeting with Sharma that day changed Susanth's musical journey . Mantra Gitaar arranged from studio recording to video shoot . He says, 'Mantra Geetaar is equal to God for me . This journey would not have been possible without their support.' Sushant wrote more than 10 songs. Has been released . But his song 'Zindagi Sarrar' made him known among many sources . At that time, his song became viral on social media.
Sushant says that his songs are connected with life experiences. He says that he is inspired by the sufferings and struggles he has experienced in life. Sushant said that his song 'Mann Chari' reflects a difficult incident in his life. "Mana Chari is a song of the time when I left work and sought freedom," he says.
Currently, his YouTube channel has more than 70 thousand subscribers . He is also focused on Hindi music field . His band 'Susant and Raag' is also moving forward with the goal of bringing Nepali music to the international stage.
