A team led by Divisional Forest Officer Ram Bichari Thakur, Chief of Divisional Forest Office, Dhangadhi, seized the timber hidden in various places in the village based on a special tip-off. According to Divisional Forest Officer Thakur, 210 pieces of sawn timber and 23 frames were seized during a patrol conducted after receiving information about timber smuggling in the Chure area. He said that the timber was seized when the smugglers used hand saws to cut the timber in the forest and hid it in bamboo groves for sale. The Divisional Forest Office said that a search is underway for those involved in timber smuggling.
