Israt Parvin, Acting Mayor of Rajviraj Municipality, reached the District Police Office on Thursday asking for security. She went to the police from the municipal office along with some ward presidents and cleaners.
On Wednesday evening, under the leadership of planning branch head Manoj Kumar Yadav, some other people vandalized the municipality and caused criminal nuisance, she demanded action against planning head Manoj Kumar Yadav and other associates.
There is a dispute in Rajviraj municipality regarding the payment of 17 days salary of cleaners who worked last year. Acting Mayor Parvin has alleged that the police did not arrest those involved even when the head of planning and outsiders came and vandalized the mayor's office.
Yojana branch chief Yadav said that there was general tension after the Acting Mayor forced him to correct the documents at night.
