Mahesh Prasad Yadav, the parliamentary party leader of the Janmat Party, which is leading the Madhesh state government, locked the social development unit office at Rajviraj in Saptari for the last 6 days.

Sushil Kumar Jha, the head of the office, said that the former minister Yadav along with the workers locked the unit office last Friday. Jha Saptari and Sarlahi are the heads of social development unit office of two districts.

Social Development Unit Office is under the Ministry of Sports and Social Welfare under the Government of Madhesh Province. The government's development plans are being operated through this office.

"For a few days, the former minister's workers came to ask for a letter about forming a consumer committee by making a list of schemes," said unit head Jha, "after being told to send the letter directly to the ward office, the former minister himself came and locked the office." "We can't give letters to any person", he said, "Minister's workers came to ask for letters, we locked them in the ward saying they couldn't give them to them". He said, 'The letters of the plan have been circulating on the road for the last one month without being sent to the ward office by the head of the office. They are not found when we go to talk. I have locked them after giving the letters to unauthorized persons but defaming members of the provincial assembly like us.'

After locking the government office, former minister Yadav tried to hand over the key to Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal . But after Prazia Dahal refused saying that it is not his job to close the government office and take the key, Yadav himself took the key of the lock in the office .

The office has been closed for 6 days when the member of the state assembly locked the office. When the office is closed, the letters of the plan have been stopped from being sent to the ward office and the work of the office has also stopped.
