Judge Balkrishna Dhakal's bench issued a short-term interim order on Sunday not to remove Vice-Chancellor Mahato from the post until that date, ordering to call for discussion on 11th Chait.
According to the decision of the majority of the University Assembly (Senate), the state government removed Vice-Chancellor Mahato and Registrar Shri Bhagwan Thakur and called for notification for new posts.

After the formation of the Madhesh state government under the leadership of the Janmat Party, vice-chancellor Mahato and registrar Thakur said that the vice-chairman of NITI Aayog had committed irregularities. An investigation committee was also formed under the leadership of Sohan Sah. Dr. Although the investigation committee led by Shah has submitted a report, the report has not been officially made public.
In the third session of the Provincial Assembly, the matter was sent to the Provincial Affairs Committee of the Provincial Assembly for investigation.
