Two people from Saptari lost contact in the stampede that took place on Wednesday morning during the Mahakumbh bath in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Her son Lalit Jha said that 60-year-old Sunainadevi Jha of Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality-1 has been out of touch from the Mahakumbh Mela since Wednesday morning.

4 days ago, a family group of 8 people including Sunaina Devi went to Kumbh Snan . Similarly, 65-year-old Bulbul Khang of Tilathi Koiladi-3 Sakarpura has also been missing from Mahakumbh Melasthal since Wednesday morning, Ward President Ramesh Mukhia said.

Family and group members are searching for the missing in coordination with local security personnel.

Hundreds of pilgrims from different places of Saptari district have gone to Mahakumbha Snan. Vijay Gupta said that till now more than 50 pilgrims have gone to Mahakumbh by bus from here. Likewise, the security personnel in the border area say that 5 to 15 pilgrims going to Mahakumbh on Scorpio go to India on a daily basis.
