A teenage girl was raped on Wednesday at Koshi Western Canal in Bishnupur rural municipality of Saptari district.
According to Saptari Police DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet, a 15-year-old girl was raped while going from home to the campus in Rajviraj.
DSP Basnet said that the girl who was going to the campus at 5:45 am on Wednesday was raped by a young man in the southern part of the Koshi Western Canal in Bishnupur Village 7. Basnet informed that the girl's left arm was broken during the fight and she had bruises on various parts of her body. DSP Basnet said that based on the complaint of the victim, the accused Aklesh Kumar Mandal was taken into custody and the Saptari District Court extended the investigation.
