Saptari Police has arrested a person who pretended to be a robber to kill the money of a moneylender. Samsuddin Alam of Birganj-21 was arrested by the police on charges of cheating, criminal treachery and spreading rumours.
Alam said that while he was coming to Rajviraj with his co-driver Amir Shrestha of Baraka Kalaiya-7 to get boiler chicken from Birganj, four armed men who came on two motorcycles on Rajviraj Rupni road section at 7:00 p.m. last January 22 stole the keys of his Bolero jeep and Rs 380,000 with it. Saptari had given false information to the police.
After the news, the police checked the checkpoints of the district and the place where the incident was said to have taken place, including Rupani-1 Raipur under the Rajviraj-Rupani road section. During the investigation, the driver Alam was under suspicion after the keys of the Bolero were found at the same place as the vehicle.
According to Saptari police chief SP Dhakendra Khatiwada, along with Alam, co-driver Shrestha is a person with different abilities who cannot speak or hear. The co-driver informed the police that the driver Alam kept the money and the police took it into custody.
Based on the complaint of the co-driver, SP Khatiwada said that after the police found the 380,000 rupees in the house of the driver Alam in Birgunj, he was taken into custody and the action was initiated.
