The District Administration has provided citizenship to a paralyzed teenage girl by visiting her home. The administration visited the home of 17-year-old Subiksha Tharu of Ward 1, Badki Taduwa, Indrapur, Madhuwan Municipality, and issued her a Nepali citizenship certificate on Wednesday evening.
Chief District Officer Gogan Bahadur Hamal, Assistant Chief District Officer Ashok Kumar Bhandari, and Administrative Officer Lokprasad Dhakal visited the home of the disabled young woman, who is unable to walk, and provided her with citizenship.
Chief District Officer Gogan Bahadur Hamal said that although she was of age to obtain citizenship, since she had broken her spine after falling from a bridge and was unable to visit the District Administration Office to receive services, the administration provided citizenship by visiting her home.
“Ward Chairperson Min Thapa of Madhuwan Municipality–1 informed us about the condition of the injured girl,” said CDO Hamal. “Since she was unable to come to the administration office, we provided the service by visiting her home.” The administration will continue such initiatives to make citizen-friendly services more effective.
CDO Hamal handed over the citizenship certificate to the paralyzed girl and wished her a speedy recovery. He also pledged that the administration would take any necessary initiatives for her treatment.
