Training for election security police has begun in Dhankuta to make the upcoming elections peaceful, safe, and orderly.
Basic training is being conducted for 1,085 election police officers selected for the district in Dhankuta headquarters, including Hile, Pakhribas, Bhedetar, Chhintang and Rajarani. Those who are in the Armed Police Force quota are being trained in Chhintang Gulma in Chharagaun. According to Dhankuta Police Chief SP Sarat Kumar Thapa Chhetri, the selected election police officers will be given 10 days of practical training on basic security, crowd control, polling station security, emergency response and election code of conduct. During the training, special exercises will be conducted on how to manage the security of polling stations, identify suspicious activities, and protect voters and employees, the police said. After completing the training, they will be deployed to various polling stations and sensitive areas in the district.
