Everyone has escaped to safety after a landslide suddenly hit a jeep carrying passengers on a tour from Pokhara, and efforts are underway to clear the road.

A landslide has fallen on a Scorpio jeep on the Dhorpatan-Saljhandi road section in Dhorpatan Municipality-9, Sukurdung. All five passengers in the jeep have escaped in time.
The landslide occurred on Monday night on the jeep bearing the number Ga1Y 982. Five people were travelling from Pokhara to Dhorpatan. They were all safe as they escaped, said DSP Rameshwor Twati of the District Police Office.
The landslide that came from above the road buried the front part of the jeep. The damaged jeep has been removed using an excavator. Police have informed that work is underway to reopen the road blocked by the landslide. Police have stated that it will take a whole day to completely remove the landslide from the road.
