The District Administration Office, Ramechhap, issued a notice on Wednesday, urging everyone to apply in the prescribed format and get permission before holding a public program. The notice issued by the office's administrative officer, Prakash Pradhan, states that as per the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the local administration has made arrangements to grant permission only after analyzing the peace, security and situation in the district.
The notice states, 'Ensuring the right to peaceful assembly as provided by the constitution, public demonstrations, rallies or meetings will be allowed only after obtaining permission to hold the program.'
The District Administration Office has stated that parties wishing to hold the program must submit an application seeking permission in the prescribed format.
