The Government of India is going to allocate a budget of 11,500 crore Indian rupees for flood control and irrigation projects of Koshi river.
Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the budget in the Indian Parliament on Tuesday, said that flood control of Koshi is the government's priority.
Stating that Bihar is continuously affected by Koshi river floods, Finance Minister Sitharaman has said that work will be started to study the damage.
Similarly, he said that the structure for flood control in Nepal is yet to be built and the Indian government will support it.
