Due to the continuous rain since last night, the water level in the rivers including Vagmati, Bishnumati, Dhobikhola, Hanumante and others in Kathmandu valley has increased.  Traffic has been affected due to water logging on some of the roads here. The government has urged people to be aware of damage caused by rain and floods.

According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, it has rained all over the country in the last 24 hours. There has been heavy rain in many places of Lumbini, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.

The Assistant Spokesperson of the Armed Police, Shailendra Thapa, informed that teams from the units of the Armed Police Force Nepal in the Kathmandu Valley have been mobilized to different areas. The armed police said that there has been no human or material damage in the valley so far. Armed Police Force Nepal No. 20 Disaster Relief Valley More than 300 troops have been mobilized in different places of the valley under the command of Purna Bahadur Saud, the armed police superintendent from Gana.

Valley's Gokarneswar, Balkhu, Bishnumati, Thapathali, Shankhamool, Manohara, Dhobikhola, It is said that the police have been deployed in risky areas including Jadibuti Manohara river and Pashupati area.

An emergency meeting is currently going on at the Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss the incidents of disasters that have occurred across the country and the management of those incidents. Home Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, Inspector General of Nepal Police Basant Bahadur Kunwar, Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal and high officials of the Nepal Army were present in the meeting which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane.
