Nepal has given a target of 109 runs to Pakistan in the Women's Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. After Pakistan won the toss, Nepal came in to bat and scored 108 runs after losing 6 wickets at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Kavita Joshi scored 31 runs and remained unbeaten. She played 23 balls and hit 4 fours and 1 six. Kavita and Pooja Mahato shared 34 runs in 32 balls for the sixth wicket. Pooja, who was run out in the last over, played 32 balls and scored 25 runs by hitting 3 fours.
In the first match against the UAE, Jakanan Khadka, who scored an unbeaten 72 runs, was dismissed for 4 runs. Kavita Kunwar played 13 balls and hit 3 boundaries and added 13 runs. Captain Indu Burma was bowled by Sadia Iqbal for a wicket. Ruveena Chhetri was run out for 8 runs.
Sita Ranamar also ran out. She scored 26 runs off 30 balls hitting 3 fours. Iqbal spent 19 runs in 4 overs and took 2 wickets in the Pakistani innings where three players from Nepal were run out.
If Nepal wins this match, it will reach the semi-finals. Nepal defeated UAE by 6 wickets in the first match. In Group 'A', India has won both the matches and is at the top position. India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the first match and defeated UAE by 78 runs in the first match on Sunday.
