The suspension bridge connecting Nepal-India at Darchula headquarters Khalanga has been closed. The Nepalese administration said that the bridge was closed for a few hours on Sunday for repairs.

On Saturday, Awer District Administration Office, Darchula, issued a notification and said that the bridge will be closed from 9 am to 2 am. The border bridge is closed because the straps and nut bolts of the suspension bridge need to be repaired.

As the bridge repair work will be done from 9 am to 2 pm, traffic on the bridge will be closed during that time, informed the Assistant Chief District Officer of Darchula, Hemanti Saud. The administration has informed that the traffic on the bridge will be closed at the mentioned time as information has been received from the Indian side about the repair of the bridge.
