Butwal sub-metropolitan city has put into operation a bathroom with facilities in the new bus park of Butwal. After the increase in the number of passengers at the bus park connected to the East-West highway, the sub-metropolitan municipality has brought into operation child-friendly and disabled-friendly bathing houses for their convenience.
Mayor Khelraj Pandey said that the plan has been put forward to make the new bus park organized and equipped. He said that high mast light, canteen, charging station, Koseli house and many parking buildings will also be constructed.
"The high mast light has been installed and is in the process of testing, the charging station for electric vehicles is operational," he said, "The canteen will be operational soon, and the process for the construction of the Koseli building and the parking building has already started."
The bathroom built in the bus park has 11 toilets, 17 urinals, 4 bathrooms and 2 child-friendly, 2 disabled-friendly toilets. Rukmangat Basyal, engineer of Butwal sub-metropolitan city, said that a solar panel has been installed in the bathroom for hot and cold water according to the weather, and arrangements have been made to produce biogas from the waste of the toilet and bring it to the bathroom. Ramchandra Bhusal, managing director of West Nepal Bus Business Pvt. Ltd., said that the campaign of Butwal sub-metropolitan city to improve the bus park was good.
