Armed DSP Basyal was found dead at home

Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police (DSP) Upendra Basyal, who was working at the proposed Armed Forces Border Security Gulm at Mayganj checkpoint of Dhanpalthan on the border of Morang, was found dead on Monday.

Morang police chief SP Navraj Karki said that it was found hanging by a plastic rope from the fan of the kitchen room of Basyal office. According to him, his body was not moved as the family members of the deceased were coming towards the incident site. He is the Chief of Armed Police Gulm in Dhanpalthan-3.

Basyal's reason for committing suicide has not been revealed. It is said that his family has a permanent address in Palpa and lives in Kathmandu.
