According to the latest data, the contribution of the agricultural sector to the country's gross domestic product is about 26 percent. The fact that the agricultural production has been adding to the despair for almost 2 decades is not hidden from anyone. On the one hand, there is a sad situation where the production is decreasing after the farmers started leaving the village, and on the other hand, there is a situation where the ruling party is making ridiculous promises about the commercialization and industrialization of agriculture.

Let's talk about the level of the Prime Minister - the fact that former Prime Minister Marichmansin Shrestha embraced a simple lifestyle and engaged in poultry farming business should be considered as a unique reference for Nepal. Apart from him, no prime minister, top leadership was seen to present an example by making agriculture and animal husbandry an excellent profession. On the contrary, it was heard that the famous leader embezzled crores of rupees in the name of goat rearing.

Although some politicians talked about marijuana cultivation in the media saying that it would boost the economy, it seems that the responsible leadership is trying to make a fuss rather than the upliftment of agriculture. Farmers are being harassed step by step, and the rulers of the villages are more interested in their own interests than the upliftment of the farmers, and they do not hesitate to commit corruption at the top level.

In the Janki village of Dhanusha, the ruler looted 10 million rupees in the name of the deceased in the form of old age allowance, isn't it a model of Lucknow robbery? Such cowards will never uplift agriculture. At present, Nepalis who have lost the character of the government are engaged in agricultural work in Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Israel and other countries.

If agriculture and animal husbandry are to be raised in the country, a campaign should be started through the budget and programs of the next financial year to operate at least two model farms in each ward of 753 municipalities. The leadership, which does not understand the suffering of the farmers, should raise the dignity of the country and the farmers by running model farms on their own strength.
