The Trishuli 3B Hub 220/132/33 KV substation constructed at Pahrebensi in Kispang rural municipality of Nuwakot has been inaugurated under the Chilime-Trishuli 220 KV transmission system project. As part of the project's corporate social responsibility, the 33/11 KV electricity distribution substation constructed in Valche of Kispang Rural Municipality was also inaugurated.

Inauguration of Trishuli 3B Hub 220 KV Substation and Valche 33 KV Substation

Energy Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet and European Commission Deputy Director General for International Partnerships Miriam Ferron, European Union (EU) Ambassador Veronique Lorenzo, German Ambassador Thomas Prinz and European Investment Bank (EIB) Director Thouraya Tricky jointly inaugurated the Trishuli 3B Hub and Valche on Friday. The substation has been inaugurated.

The cost of Trishuli 3B Hub substation, built on about 104 ropani land, is 1 billion 97 crore rupees . Trishuli-Kathmandu 220kV transmission line is connected to Trishuli 3B Hub Substation with Matatirtha Substation .

Valche substation and Trishuli 3B hub-Valche 33 KV transmission line along with the cost of neighborhood electrification program is 42 crore 93 lakh rupees . Nuwakot and Rasuwa District 33 and 11 KV lines and distribution substations have been constructed through neighborhood electrification program to expand electricity access and supply in a reliable and quality manner. More than 2 thousand households in Nuwakot and Rasuwa have benefited from this.

At the opening ceremony, Minister Basnetal said that an important step has been added by the construction of substations not only for the electricity produced by the hydropower projects in the Trishuli river catchment area, but also for the management of the country's electricity system as a whole. In order to meet the target of 28,000 megawatts of electricity production within the next 12 years, Minister Basnet mentioned that policy, legal and structural reforms have been started to make the production, transmission and distribution sectors investment-friendly. He mentioned that the government, local community, foreign and private sector investment in the hydropower sector will be promoted in a coordinated manner.

European Commission Deputy Director-General Ferran said that substations are important for increasing the production of renewable green energy to deal with the problems created by climate change . German Ambassador Thomas Prinz informed that 70 million Euros subsidy is going to be given to bring the clean green energy produced to consumers' homes.

The executive director of the authority, Kulman Ghising, urged the European Union and its member states to invest in the infrastructure of this sector for the sustainable development of Nepal's green energy. He in order to meet the target of 28,000 megawatts of electricity generation in the next 12 years, about 46 billion U.S. dollars are needed in the infrastructure for production, transmission and distribution, and asked for investment.

Under Chilime-Trishuli 220 KV transmission system project of Rasuwa's Amachhodingmo rural municipality. 28 km from Chilime Haw 220 KV Substation at Thambuchet to Trishuli 3B Hub Construction of 220 KV Double Circuit Transmission Line and Chilime Haw 220 KV Substation is in final stage.

Chilime-Trishuli 220 KV transmission system with an estimated cost of 6 billion 19 million rupees The project is funded by the Nepal Government and the Nepal Electricity Authority and the German Development Bank (KFW) and the EU grant support. The EIB established by the EU has provided concessional loans for the project.

Chilime-Trishuli 220 KV transmission line and Chilime and Trishuli 3B hub substations to flow the power of the hydroelectric projects under construction and to be built in the Trishuli river and its tributaries to the national system is constructed . About 1,200 megawatts of electricity can be generated from transmission lines and substations.

70 of the 75 towers on the 28 km transmission line have been laid. The partial foundation of the remaining 5 towers has been laid . 60 towers have been erected and the work of 10 is going on. 15 km of wire has been stretched and wire pulling is going on in the erected towers. Under the Chilime-Trishuli 3B Hub transmission line Chilime-Mailung section 20 km double circuit and Mailung-Trishuli 3B hub 8 km four (multi) circuit line has been constructed . The construction of the transmission line is being done rapidly with the aim of completing it within a month .

Under the leadership of Korean companies, a multi-circuit line has been built to connect the power of the 216 MW upper Trishuli-1 hydroelectric project. Upper trident-1 by 60 percent of the expenses incurred in making the multi-circuit line will be borne . A tower has to be built in a geographically very dangerous and difficult mountainous area, because it is crowded and there is no road, stones, sand, tower materials, water have to be carried by people or carts, floods, poor performance of construction professionals, problems of land use in forest areas, obstacles from locals, covid Construction of the project has been affected due to -19 etc. The

transmission line has been constructed in the terrain ranging from 680 to 2600 m above sea level . 33 towers had to be built in places where there was no access road. A separate access road has been constructed to reach the place.

60 MW Upper Trishuli 3 A, 216 MW Upper Trishuli-1, 111 MW Rasuwagadhi, 42.5 MW Sanjen, 42 MW of various projects of Tadi Khola, 37 MW Upper Trishuli 3 B, 14.8 MW Upper Sanjen, 14. The electricity produced from the 3 MW upper Mailung and other hydropower projects will be integrated into the national system through this transmission line and substation. A contract was signed with the Chinese company Pinggao Group of Companies in October 2074 for the construction of the transmission line and substation. The contract agreement was implemented in December 2074.
